Robert Scott Jenks (March 14, 1981 – July 4, 2025) was an American professional baseball pitcher and coach. He played in Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox from 2005 through 2011, serving as a closer for most of his career. Jenks was a two-time All-Star, a World Series champion, and ranks second in career saves among White Sox pitchers. He tied the MLB record for consecutive batters retired (41) in 2007. After his playing career, Jenks became a coach and manager in the Pioneer League, earning Manager of the Year honors in 2022. He faced significant health challenges, including a life-threatening surgical complication and a battle with cancer, before his death in 2025.
