Joel Hans Embiid (born March 16, 1994) is a Cameroonian, French, and American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA. After playing one year of college basketball at Kansas, he was drafted third overall in 2014. Embiid is a seven-time NBA All-Star, two-time scoring champion, and the 2023 NBA MVP. He won Olympic gold with Team USA in 2024.
