Biography
Tyreek Hill (born March 1, 1994) is an American professional football wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Known by his nickname "Cheetah" for his exceptional speed, Hill has established himself as one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL.
Born in Douglas, Georgia, Hill excelled in both football and track and field at Coffee High School, winning state championships in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints. His track background earned him recognition as USA Today All-American and Track and Field News "High School Athlete of the Year" in 2012.
Hill's college career took him through Garden City Community College, Oklahoma State University, and West Alabama, where he showcased his versatility as a running back, wide receiver, and return specialist. Despite off-field issues that led to his dismissal from Oklahoma State, Hill was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
In Kansas City, Hill quickly became a star, earning Pro Bowl honors in each of his first eight seasons and helping the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV. His speed and playmaking ability made him one of the most feared offensive weapons in the league. In 2022, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins, where he signed a record-breaking contract extension.
Hill's 2025 season was cut short by a devastating knee injury in Week 4, but his impact on the game is undeniable. With career statistics including 819 receptions, 11,363 receiving yards, and 83 receiving touchdowns, Hill has cemented his place among the NFL's elite receivers.
